Although this week has Mardi Gras followed quickly by Valentine's Day, there are a couple of delicious events today well worth noting.
East Side King Ramen Lunch party at Hole in the Wall (2538 Guadalupe): The chefs behind ESK are always striving to improve their ramen offerings and they want customers to evaluate their progress. So, the first 50 bowls of Bacon Beer Ramen served to day will be free, one to a customer, of course. Monday, Feb. 11, 11am-2pm
Parkside (301 E. Sixth: Chef/restaurateur Shawn Cirkiel and his staff celebrate five years of business in Austin's Historic Entertainment District tonight. They'll commemorate the occasion by offering complementary oysters and champagne to every table. Monday, Feb. 11, 5-10pm
