Last week, we told you about the Cookies for Cody online bake sale benefit developed by Stephanie Weaver for her nephew, cancer patient Cody Brasic of Marble Falls.

Stephanie runs an online site called Recipe Renovator and she enlisted more than 70 bakers, bloggers, and cookbook authors to donate baked goods, gift baskets, and signed cookbooks to the online sale. When the bidding closed on August 5th, the benefit had generated $6,000 in sales for Cody’s medical bills.

Sadly, Weaver advised us that young Cody Brasic passed away August 4th. We offer our sincere condolences to his family.
