Food & Wine Magazine Announces Austin Hopefuls for Best New Chef Award

Austin chefs are having a great run in all manner of culinary awards this year! Food & Wine magazine has released the names of chefs nominated for their Best New Chef of the year and three talented young Austinites made the roster for the Southwest region.

Reigning Top Chef Paul Qui of Uchiko is joined by Andrew Curren of 24 Diner/Easy Tiger Bakeshop & Beer Garden, and Ned Elliott of Foreign & Domestic. The People's Choice online voting period extends through March 11 at www.foodandwine.com/peoples-bnc. The staff at Foreign & Domestic (306. East 53rd) is throwing a happy hour voting party Thursday, March 8 from 4:30pm-6pm with fried chicken legs, biscuits, cookies, and champagne specials. Drop by and support Austin chefs!
