Chablis: The Thinking Person’s Guide to Chardonnay

More on finding the best of the classic Burgundian white wine

Chablis: The Thinking Person’s Guide to Chardonnay
by Wes Marshall

These are a few highly recommended Chablis. The reason several wineries have wines by the same name (Les Clos for instance) is that the vineyard may have several owners, or the one owner may sell to several wineries.

Be sure to find a wine seller who really knows Chablis. Distributors occasionally keep the wines too long and only a good dealer will know they are selling you a truly quaff-able product.

These are a few of my favorites, but there are hundreds more. Again, your best friend is a knowledgeable seller. Despite all the names attached below, all of these wines are Chablis. The winemaker is in bold just above each subsection.
