Sure, you could stay home and binge-watch Netflix and drink Champagne on the couch, but where’s the fun in that? Actually, don’t answer that, because we are here to send you out into the night to put this year to bed.

There are so many NYE happenings around town for any number of interests (music, dancing, eating, drinking), grab that suit or dress out of the closet and head out into wilds of Austin and forget about what a tumultuous year it’s been. With so many options available, you’re bound to find a place to sing “Auld Lang Syne” (or your favorite Beyoncé song). Wherever you go, and whatever you do, get home safe with a designated driver, your preferred ride-sharing app, or check out Cap Metro’s free rides after 6pm on NYE. No Scrubs! NYE 2017: An Eighties and Nineties Hip-Hop Dance Party

Turn back the clock (hopefully a big one around your neck) as you enter the new year with this retro holiday party. Costume contests, party favors, and a Champagne toast at midnight seal the deal.
