Austin loves its local businesses, and the AIBA is making sure it stays that way this local business month. Patrons can expect discounts and specials at some of their favorite shops and join the celebration during the Armadillo Awards on April 29.
Other than voting for your faves in the Armadillo Awards, there’s no better way to show your local love than spending your day(and dollars) at regional businesses. Here's a quick guide to doing Austin in a day.• Kerbey Lane Cafe Start your day with breakfast at Kerbey Lane Cafe. With 6 locations, including South Lamar and the Central location they’ve made sure that every Austinite can get their fill of great locally grown food.
South First street has great spots like Diamonds are Evil, South Austin Gallery and Soul Rebel Vintage. Grab lunch at the South First Trailer Park and Eatery where you’ll find Conscious Cravings, Torchy’s and Holy Cacao. Don't forget to take a stroll down SoCo while in the area.• Alamo Drafthouse
