New TRACE happy hour launches today

New happy hour menu lets you feel fancy on the cheap

When I was told we were getting a sneak preview of the new happy hour menu at Trace at the W Hotel I thought, "Cool, because I'll never afford it otherwise!" Turns out I was wrong.

Our first bites were of the mini goat merguez sausages, rich with Moroccan spices and garnished with fresh cilantro to give it some lightness. We also got to try their smoked brisket tacos and a truly decadent 36-hour braised pork belly slider. You can imagine my surprise when I found out they are all only $3 each.

The more delicate hamachi crudo followed, as well as some of the best baked mac n' cheese in the city. There were truffles in it y'all. we shared between the three of us and it was only $7. The crafted cocktails we tried were delicious and balanced, as the TRACE bar staff is known to do. The 25% off list of wines doesn't hurt either. The fanciness continued with the epic dessert tasting from new Pastry Chef Angel Begaye. The happy hour dessert of choice is a fried candy bar with a dark chocolate ganache that will make you feel truly criminal.

While we feel pretty lucky to have seen a preview, your opportunity is already here- The new happy hour officially kicks off Feb. 7th! For more information check out their facebook event here.
