Treat yourself Austin to a few nights of Improv

The holiday season is upon us with the shelves already being stacked with cranberry sauces, corn-bread stuffing, Christmas cookie tins, and candy canes. But before we jump into all of the holiday madness, let’s take a step back and enjoy ourselves with a few nights of comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade!

I had not heard about this group before, so when I saw that multiple nights were being taken over at the Paramount, I had to find out why. The UCB is about staging affordable, high-quality comedy and providing improv and acting classes. The theatres are based in Los Angeles and New York but they are bringing comedians to Austin!

I have always valued those who can make others laugh and intelligently bounce off another’s jokes at lightning speed with dead-on wit and irony. I have tried with strangers and the reaction is usually a weird look and silence. But enough about my failed attempts at being a comedian, come check out the Upright Citizens Brigade, who are guaranteed to make you laugh. For more information and tickets visit
