It is a delight to say that I have a dual-festival shout out for my Beer lovers. Yes, Austin, we have two wonderful events going on this Saturday, so free up your time. I will give you all the information on why you should attend both!

Texas Craft Brewers Festival is taking over Fiesta Gardens starting at 2pm. There are over 130 beers on tap for your enjoyment and you'll have the chance to personally talk to the many passionate brewers from Texas. Even if you know nothing about beer brewing, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about the craft, meet those who have dedicated their lives to it and taste the fruits of their labor. I plan to ask all the ridiculously novice questions- for you have to start somewhere!

Also going down the same day is the inaugural Austoberfest kicking off at Saengerrunde Hall at 1pm! Come out and enjoy sausage tastings, BBQ and German-style breads, then wash it all down with scrumptious Bier! This is a great chance to celebrate the German-Texan heritage that is ingrained into Austin’s history. Even if you are alien to German traditions, this would be the event to gain exposure to the good-hearted customs. Example- I just learned what a lederhosen is!

Alright Austin, you have a busy beer-filled weekend ahead of you! Drink responsibly and enjoy!
