Join the CHRONtourage this weekend at both The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum's Music Under the Star summer concert and Cinema East's summer outdoor film screening to see why both annual summer happenings are not to be missed!
Music Under the Star 2012: This year the free and family-friendly concert series returns for its ninth season and will feature nationally known Texan artists in conjunction with current exhibition Texas Music Roadtrip.
Where: The Lone Star Plaza in front of the Bullock Museum
When: Every Friday in July, 6-9pm
What else: It’s free – free museum admission, free parking and, of course, free live music; all-ages.
July 6: Kelly Willis and The Ruby Jane Show
July 13: Junior Brown and Warren Hood and the Goods
July 20: Little Joe y La Familia and Conjuntazzo
July 27: The Gourds and the Redd Volkaert Trio

Cinema East 2012: Although its location has changed, “Austin's savior of indie films of yesteryear,” as The Chronicle’s Marc Savlov puts it, is back again for round three. Come out to one or more of the remaining screenings and enjoy the films, post-screening dialogues and DJ's in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
Where: Yellow Jacket Track Field, 1156 Hargrave St.
When: Every other Sunday, now until 8/19, 7-11pm
What else: Only $3 cover, BYOB & lawn chairs, local food & drink vendors on site, movie at 9pm, all-ages.
