The Anthropology of Arthur
This is the estate of Arthur Amundson who lived to be 103! He was a Texas farm boy of Scandinavian decent and enjoyed careers as a teacher, mechanical engineer, and credit union president. He led a modest life of thrift and economy, married Mae, and raised a daughter here in Austin. The home was built for his family in 1949 and is loaded with vintage treasures. Antiques, collectibles, decor, tons of opportunity for artists, hundreds of old clocks parts and pieces, antiquarian books, antique fixtures, vintage dishes, fabric, prints and artwork; old books. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Klein were world travelers and their collections reflect it. Mr. Klein worked for the Foreign Services and the CIA, so they have many collections. At home, they loved to entertain, so you'll find several china sets from manufactures such as Rosenthal, Lorenz Hutschen Reuther, and Bavaria, Germany. Blue Onion and blue and white china; Chinese, Japanese and Thailand collectibles. Large selection of various pottery pieces from all over the world.
