ROAR salon and WGN team up for Dress for Success

Dress for Success Benefit

The Austin chapter of the Women's Global Network teams up with ROAR salon down on Fifth Street this Thursday to celebrate the national Dress for Success program. WGN has partnered with Dress for Success to provide professional women as career mentors.

You've been off the grid if you don't know that Dress for Success provides interview-appropriate outfits and suits to disadvantaged women as well as career counseling and a network of support as they enter the work force. Clients receive one suit for the interview process and another suit when they secure employment. In recent years the organization has grown to include 85 cities across the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.

Have your Thursday happy hour at ROAR this week, enjoy the knosh from Blue Dahlia Bistro and cocktails from Spec's Liquors while watching two local DFS clients receive their makeover and meet their Austin mentors for the first time. To register with Women's Global Network, dial up www.wgn-global.com.
