Boots of the Week

Boots: Our picks for the week of October 12

We posted a story about boots a few weeks ago here, but the choices keep exploding out of shoe departments and the internet so fast that the least we can do here at Chronique is try to help you keep up.

We just ordered these Dolce Vitas from They will basically replace Chucks for a while. The hunt for Phyllis Diller gold boots continues, but these will help ease the pain:

These replace Chucks for a while.
These almost make it, on a darker day in 1970 London:
Bandolino, Instant
We like these for any weather.
Fonarina, 4794, $104
And best-dressed in a gravel parking lot:
No. 704b, $159
But spats! Yes, please:
Jeffrey Campbell, Saple, $143
Who knew Bruno Magli was still around?
Bruno Magli, Latifah, $695
But for just kicking around on a Sunday we like all three of these:
Elizabeth and James, laceless, $225
See by Chloe, belted, $495
Dr. Martens, Adina, $150

This is just a fraction of what we've seen this week. Stay tuned for more editorial therapy.
