Cap City Comedy Club Closes
Yesterday, Cap City Comedy Club, the venue that's kept you – and all of Austin – laughing for almost a quarter century, traded punch lines for a gut punch: The home for stand-up is closing permanently. ASO Fires Player Over Racist Remarks

Just the month before, she'd lost her partner, her home, and, thanks to dental surgery and a prolonged recovery period, all her arts-related income. The COVID-19 shutdown meant dance studios had to close, forcing Morrow to cancel classes she'd have been paid for teaching.

In Memoriam: Terrence McNally
"Nobody loves the theatre as much as Terrence." This observation about Terrence McNally was made by Nathan Lane in the 2019 documentary Every Act of Life. That great love, along with a 55-year career as a playwright, came to a close Tuesday, March 24, as complications from coronavirus took McNally's life. He was 81.
