Brace yourself for the biggest Godzilla show at Guzu ever, as the collectibles store and gallery unleashes the king of the monsters in another gallery show of original prints and creations celebrating everyone's favorite chaos-wreaking kaiju.
[image-1-right] [image-2-right]The seventh in the quasi-annual series of shows (check out some of the designs from the 2014 show) Strange Beasts VII: Godzilla vs the King opens tonight with a special opening reception running 7-10pm, and the works will remain on display and available for purchase through Nov. 6.
This will be the gallery's first in-person launch party since the beginning of the pandemic, but if you can't make it in person, or still aren't comfortable with crowds (or you're just nervous that this may be the time that the Big Guy finally turns up to check out all these portraits), then everything will also be on sale via their online store, guzugallery.com.
The show contains original art from 23 fans of the unlikely savior of humanity doing what he does best (romping, stomping, and emmiting radioactive blasts). It's a selection of some old favorites from prior shows and new additions that highlight Austin's panoply of rising SF and monster-tastic artists including:
