Moontower Comedy Comes Back in a Big Way!

Festival celebrates its tenth year with 100 comics – live!

The Moontower Comedy Festival has been bringing comics back to Austin in single-show bits for a few months now, but until today, there's been no word about its signature extravaganza in which scores of comedians serve up a four-day binge of laughs. Now, its official: The fest will be back Sept. 22-25, with the milestone 10th edition featuring 10 x 10 comics.

As produced by the Paramount Theatre and sponsored by Cap City Comedy Club (returning this fall as well), Moontower 10 has already inked a host of impressive headliners – some making their Moontower debut.

Dave Attell, host of Comedy Central’s Insomniac with Dave Attell, is among the latter. Joining him are first-timers Bob The Drag Queen, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race; Leanne Morgan, making a stop on her Big Panty Tour; and Jacqueline Novak, who will perform Get On Your Knees, the one-woman stand-up show she presented off-Broadway.

Faves making their welcome returns include Margaret Cho, Maria Bamford, Brad Williams, and Dan Soder.

Today’s lineup announcement also features comedians such as Andy Kindler, Doug Benson, Erin Foley, Jessica Kirson, Matt Bearden, Sam Morril, Moshe Kasher, Natasha Leggero, the Sklar Brothers, Vanessa Gonzalez, Hannah Einbinder, and Tom Segura en Espanol, a show performed entirely in Spanish.

And did you say podcasts? Of course, Moontower will have live podcasts. The nine announced today are:

• The 500 with Josh Adam Meyers,
SiriusXM’s The Bonfire with Dan Soder and Big Jay Oakerson
• Will You Accept This Rose? with Arden Myrin
• The Endless Honeymoon with Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher,
• Are You Garbage? with H. Foley and Kevin Ryan,
• Going Deep with Chad and JT,
• Doug Loves Movies with Doug Benson,
• Jeremiah Wonders with Jeremiah Watkins, and
• Pod Don’t Lie with Sam and Stav, with Sam Morril and Stavros Halkias.
