Giving You the CBGBs
Tim Doyle's newest print rocks
By Wayne Alan Brenner, 11:31AM, Thu. Apr. 5, 2012

Yes, this:
Only part of the new print
from the pens & press of Tim Doyle
of Austin's Nakatomi pop-art powerhouse.
It's part of the Dead Rockstars Show
produced by Blunt Graffix at Spoke Art Gallery
way the hell over in Oakland, California.
Yeah: California.
Because that Doyle, whom you may recall
from such hits as this Chronicle cover,
is everywhere these days, isn't he?
California, New York, Paris, Australia.
Because?
Well, because he's got talent, obviously.
But a lot of people have talent, right?
A lot of people who do plenty of nothing
but hang around outside neighborhood coffee shops
– like in that Annie Baker play currently at HPT –
a lot of those people have talent, too.
So what is it about this Doyle that –
well, look, let the man tell you himself:
There's a big & graphically enhanced interview
with that
that machine of a Doyle, right here.
