Qmmunity: Qmmunity Events

Here’s fun and funky queer events in Austin, all of which you should try to wear a mask at because being sick is no joke

By James Scott, January 31, 2025, Columns

Hi. I’ve had the flu for, at time of writing, five days. Get your flu shots and all your other vaccines, please! My head is 50% snot, and the other half is paranoid worries about my passport application. (Yeah, yeah, I should’ve done it BEFORE that guy took office, but life is a really complicated thing and, honestly, no one should have to plan their federal document filing around a volatile child taking the country’s highest office.) So, please forgive my small column and enjoy these various queer event listings for stuff that’ll be fun.

Just, uh, maybe mask up while at these events? It could make things a little easier on you and everyone else in the long run.
