Lake Wood is no longer accessible from Lake Wood Park as stated in last week's "Day Trips." After a spill gate failure in 2016, the lake level dropped to the original river channel. "The lake is just gone," said Patty Gonzales, communications manager for Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority. The park area below the dam is still open to the public.
