We have two opportunities to gather and honor Transgender Day of Remembrance. (See Thursday for San Marcos and Saturday for Austin).


GUERRILLA QUEER BAR: BABES IN TOYLAND It's the holidays: Wear flannel! Donate nonviolent new toys and/or tampons/pads/DivaCups for SafePlace. It's Where the Grrrrrrlllllzzzz and then some go. So, go! SAN MARCOS TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE The land of the Bobcat observes TDOR, bringing together Transcend at Texas State, PFLAG San Marcos, San Marcos Unitarian Universalist, and even a visit from the mayor to issue a proclamation. GRETCHEN PHILLIPS' MESSES Go see Jay Byrd's Naked as a Gay Bird, and while you're there, be sure to check out Gretchen's Messes, a photographic exploration of her grappling with that hoarder/neat-freak conundrum in all of us. TRANSGENDER DAY OF REMEMBRANCE Mark your calendar with a giant red heart for the love and memory of murder victims in the trans branch of our LGBT family killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
