That's one darn nice thing about Austin – the blue blip in the raging red rapids, the coolest li'l city that may be losing black people apace with luring rich transplants, the gayest place in Texas that can't sustain one lousy lezbo bar – if you don't like the music, you don't have to dance with who brung ya. There's sure to be a tribe to which you may take a cotton nearby. You can rage at the machine (i.e., condos with ground-floor retail, whitewashing, malewashing, cranes as far as the eye can see) or you can do what these qool qids did: Start your own dang thang and fertilize this soil.
