Our breathing is finally back to normal; how about yours? Whether the panting was sparked by eager anticipation, parking stress, hoofing it to a show that began 10 minutes earlier, or simply the heart-burst of art conveyed onstage, onscreen, in person, or in the air, SXSW most definitely quickened the pace. What the increase in LGBT programming meant for, or reflected about, Austin queer culture was the topic of many a conversation at many of these gigs. We've tried to track down some of them online. Check the Gay Place blog for details: austinchronicle.com/gay.
