SITTING IN THE DARK WITH A COUPLA HUNDRED QUEERS Our idea of nirvana, really. Sweet heavenly homohapps! Lights out! Curtains up! A li'l hand holding, a li'l popcorn tussle, a li'l uh-huh, uh-huh, you know. Or simply film-viewing with some intellectual discussion about said movie over after-feature drinks? Yes, babies, it's coming up on aGLIFF time! Ummmm hmmmm, the Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival is just around August's hot, sweaty corner. September means aGLIFF. We're poking you a few weeks in advance because a) this time of year, we personally and traditionally get lost in preparations for our upcoming "Best of Austin" issue and feel we never get to give the old aGLIFF girl her due, and this year we don't want her to slip through the cracks, and b) there are some great films coming to town, and it is in your best interest to secure your membership or ticket situation early (www.agliff.org)! We look forward to the promised six packed days of Ticked Off Trannies, The Owls, James Franco, a revival of Mädchen in Uniform, bears, body issues, coming out, the British Ellen, Equality March, shorts, longs, and so much more! We cannot wait to lounge in the sweet, cool darkness of the Alamo South with the sassy, stealthy servers, the delish nosh, some LGBT soon-to-be blockbuster, and a hundred or so of our best besties.
