Ahh, the bear necessities!

BEARLY AWARE We're thrilled as a grizzly in a honeypot to learn of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's latest addition to the Sacramento scene: a very large bronze bear placed smack-dab in front of the public entrance to his office at the state Capitol. We always knew he had it in him. (See the Gay Place Blog, In related news, we're also thrilled to see Austin opening up such a plethora of bear-themed nights in local bars: Chain Drive, Rainbow Cattle Company, and Rusty Spurs all feature regular hurly-burly events. You don't even have to be a sleuth to find them (OK, that may be funny only to bear people); just check Gay Place! They are all over. And speaking of which: Next week, Gay Place's favorite warbling bruin, Nakia, will host his own debut CD release on Saturday, April 25, at Jovita's. Grrrrrrr!
