Controlling coyotes with chocolate, the Snickers 'Marathon,' and more

U.S. Department of Agriculture chemists are investigating the use of theobromine, which is found in chocolate and fatal to canines, as a way to control coyotes preying on livestock.
In 1930, the Mars family introduced Snickers, named after one of its favorite horses. In the UK and Ireland, Snickers bars were originally sold under the name "Marathon." In 1990, Mars standardized many of its global brand names, and the name was changed to Snickers.
Dr. Robert Cade's budget for the Gatorade project was $43. When he died in 2007 at age 80, Gatorade had earned $150 million.
The urinals in the Singapore and Amsterdam airports have little pictures of flies etched into them so men have something to aim for. This reduces maintenance costs.
