Since 1960, pro quarterbacks have increased their average gain per pass attempt by nearly 30%, from 4.6 yards to 6.5 yards. Running backs only get an average of about four yards per attempt, a number that hasn't changed in 30 years.

According to oilman Allen Wagley, the oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge was discovered on accident by crews who were supposed to be exploring state land but were accidentally in federal land.
