Check Out These Digs

One of our fave fundraisers is back in town, this year at Barton Creek Square and Lakeline Malls. Each year, area homebuilders and architects manifest visions of kiddie wonderland and create playful playhouses for the purpose of raffling them off so that normal schmoes like you or we might enjoy watching our little ones' eyes light up when we unveil these playscape masterpieces. Casas for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is back. Playhouses reflecting this year's theme, Steppin' Out on Broadway (including edificial odes to Greater Tuna, Grease!, The Lion King, Peter Pan, and more) are on display at the malls beginning tonight, Thu, Jul 30 through Sat, Aug 8. Tickets are $3 each or 10 for $25. or 459-2272.

Reel Babes

The purpose is to raise funds for the group whose stated mission is to "promote the careers and enhance the recognition of all professional women in the film and video industries." 243-1630.
