Chronicle Cooking
The world looks much different than it did in 1981 when we started reporting on the local food scene, but one thing remains the same: Everybody’s gotta eat. And while Austin is lucky to have an incredible and constantly evolving restaurant roster to fulfill our taste buds' wildest desires, cooking at home offers infinite opportunities to explore new flavors and techniques, customize weeknight family meals, freshen up your personal happy hour menu, and maybe even save a little money by preserving ingredients. Here at Chronicle Cooking, you’ll find a collection from the archive, as well as our growing treasure trove of tried-and-true recipes from local chefs, cookbooks, and our own staff. From limoncello to fried chicken to canned peaches, we’ve got you covered.
If you’d like to submit your own recipe for consideration, please email food@austinchronicle.com.
