After a busy South by Southwest, Kydd Jones picks back up his genre-mashing Comedy Jam – which the Austin musician/organizer energetically compared to the Buddy vs. Reggie scene in The Nutty Professor. Fresh off exploratory 2022 hip-hop/R&B record Onyx D’Or, the artist performs alongside fluid, retro-inspired guitarist Yadin Kol. Austin comedy fixture LaRon Wright hosts the evening, featuring fellow locally-sourced laughs from Lauren Compton, Andre Ricks, Symply Courtney, and Genivieve Clinton.
