    Tom Stoppard conjures a play within a play and uses issues of political anarchy in early 1980s London to supercharge this theatrical exploration of fidelity and infidelity, as directed by Ann Ciccolella for Austin Shakespeare.

    Disney’s Aladdin

    Here's the hit musical based on Disney's Academy Award-winning animated film. This North American tour is one of six replica productions around the world, joining those currently running on Broadway, in Tokyo, the Netherlands, Mexico City, and Germany.

    Estado Vegetal / Vegetative State

    Zilker Botanical Garden is excited to present this play by Manuela Infante, directed by Khristián Méndez Aguirre and performed in Spanish and English. Equal parts ode to plant beauty, meditation of grief, virtuosic performances, plant philosophy, and Austin-grown weirdness, Estado Vegetal/Vegetative State tells the story of a neighborhood rocked by a disaster.

    FronteraFest 2023

    Austin's longest-running and most beloved performance festival returns after a two-year pandemic hiatus, presenting the work – maybe cheesy, maybe brilliant, maybe goofy, maybe badass, always unique – of actors, artists, poets, dancers, and performers of all types from Austin and Texas and beyond.     Godspell

    You know this beloved musical by Stephen Schwartz, of course, and here's an intimate production directed by Anna Skidis Vargas (with musical direction by Susan Finnigan), featuring an ensemble of St. Ed’s students and Actors’ Equity guest artists Mattie Buzonas and Grammy Award-winner Patrick Hartigan.

    Revenge, love, and a secret marriage force Shakespeare's young star-crossed lovers to grow up quickly — and fate causes them to commit suicide in despair. And this? This is an LGBTQ+ adaptation of the play, set in the 1990s.

    Performed simultaneously in English and American Sign Language, this new production of Cinderella showcases favorite tunes including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” in "a funny and modern adaptation from the Broadway revival."
