    An unrestricted and unapologetic art exhibit that "examines how a body may be critiqued or claimed, presented or perceived." Featuring work by Austin's Ben Aqua, riel Sturchio, and Xavier Schipani, plus Brooklyn's Felipe Baeza and Jaimie Warren, and Oakland's Silky Shoemaker.

    OUTsider Festival

    Austin's queer transmedia fest returns for another year of head-spinning, mind-racing, jaw-dropping work by notable and up-and-coming queer visionaries. This year's lineup includes work by Brontez Purnell, Yuliya Lanina, and Bethany Johnson. The 2018 Legacy Award goes to the 40th Anniversary of Born in Flames directed by Lizzie Borden.     PFLAG Austin Deidre Furr Essay Prize for LGBTQ Students

    Calling all Central Texas (queer/trans/gender diverse) high schoolers. PFLAG's essay contest returns! Write 500 to 1,000 words on: What challenges LGBTQ+ high school students face in romantic relationships. First place takes $500 cash (second = $200, third = $100).
