Austin’s Movement Collective continues curating Romanian minimalists with Cristi Tudorache. As Melodie, the producer/DJ represents the housier side of his country’s growling, bassline-driven house and techno. Contrasting classical sounds from compatriots like Petre Inspirescu, Raresh, and Rhadoo – each helping lay the foundation of Tudorache’s genre in their Southeastern European enclave – expect deep, thumping bass, micro slices of crunching synth, and acid squelches.
