    Black Uhuru, Onesty, DJ Jah Bill

    Only Bob Marley sold more reggae albums than Black Uhuru. Across four decades, the Jamaicans also hold the distinction of winning the inaugural Grammy for reggae with 1985’s Anthem. Iconic classics such as “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” “Shine Eye Gal,” and “Sponji Reggae” are led by founding member Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, who waves the roots banner alongside frontman Andrew Bees. Veteran bassman Danny “Axeman” Thompson will also be in tow.

    Mission Accomplished is hosting its 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Food Basket Giveaway. Sponsors are donating 200 turkeys to help families enjoy a nice Thanksgiving Day dinner. Applications due by Nov. 4. Drop off non-perishable items though Nov. 10 at these Austin locations: Temeika Thomas New York Life & Company, Settin Trendz Barber & Beauty Shop, African American Youth Harvest Foundation.
