    Kick off a new school year with exciting, hands-on STEM activities such as designing a bee hummer, launching an Alka-Seltzer rocket, and more. Learn about bats from Bat Conservation International and visit Bracken Cave Preserve on a VR headset.

    ArtConnect Youth Art Contest

    The city's fourth annual contest is open now for submissions from Austin students ages 10 to 18. In honor of Digital Inclusion Week (Oct. 2-6), young artists are asked to "picture a world where everyone is connected digitally." The top three entries win a monetary prize and will have their artwork displayed in city spaces.

    ColdTowne's youth program, Excused Absence Comedy, wraps up the season of its fully improvised, interactive, original improv comedy show for kids, performed by an adult cast with the help of the audience.
