Chef and author Angela Shelf Medearis hosts a culinary history program and luncheon featuring African, Caribbean, Texan, and Southern cuisines. 11:30am-2:30pm. $20-25.

Havanese Pop-up Dinner

Chef Adam Brick of Apis Restaurant and Apiary join chef James Dumapit of Old Thousand for a four-course a four-course Havanese (a blend of Havana, Cuba and Chinese cooking) experience. A portion of the proceeds from the pop-up will benefit Casa Marianella, an East Austin homeless shelter that places an emphasis on newly arrived immigrants from around the world. 5-9pm.
