    Buddy Walk

    The Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas aims to celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and promote inclusion, acceptance, and advocacy with a fun-filled day including the Buddy Walk, mini-golf, pedal boat rides, a helicopter touchdown, swimming pool, yard games, arts & crafts, a petting zoo, and a dance party with DJ Mel.

    2023 Legacy Business Month

    Preservation Austin's inaugural Legacy Business Month is designed to encourage Austinites to celebrate and support the institutions that define so much of Austin’s culture. Pick up a passport to guide your way through 13 local businesses that have been in operation for 20 years or more, such as Peter Pan Mini-Golf, the Paramount Theatre, and Cisco’s, and show your love to some of Austin's most iconic treasures.

    Digital Inclusion Week

    The city offers a host of events for residents to learn more about the digital divide and how to achieve digital inclusion and equity, kicking off with the Digital Inclusion Stakeholder Summit at Moody Center and wrapping with a Tech for All Fest at Eastside Early College High School. Two events feature Dell's Alienware Mobile Gaming Lounge with 12 fully equipped battle stations that include Fortnite, Alienware merch, and more. Get the full schedule online.

    Fresh for Less Mobile Markets

    This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.

    I Was a Queer Child and So Were You: Toward Social and Cultural Transformation

    In response to ongoing political attacks on gay, transgender, and sexual rights in Texas, nationally, and internationally, the Rapoport Center and Rothko Chapel host University of Utah's Kathryn Bond Stockton for a lecture weaving memoir through new ideas, followed by a conversation with UT-Austin's Jo Hsu.
