    Black Girl Ventures x Pimco Austin Pitch Competition

    Black Girl Ventures is an organization that provides Black and Brown woman-identifying founders with access to community, capital, and capacity building. Small-business owners are invited to pitch to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes of up to $10,000, which will be matched by Capital One. Apply now; finalists will be notified on July 18 for the pitch competition in the fall.

    We Are Blood’s Battle of the Badges

    The annual competition between first responders returns, with the goal of seeing who can donate more blood: Austin Police, Austin Fire, Austin/Travis County EMS, the Travis County Sheriff’s Department, or the city of Austin. Donors can vote for any of these when they check in for their appointment.
