ABC Kite Fest
One of our most iconic traditions returns for its 92nd year as a citywide celebration of Austin’s parks in partnership with Austin Parks Foundation, benefiting Communities in Schools and the Moss Pieratt Foundation. Sponsored in part by KXAN and Texas Mutual, this year’s ABC Kite Fest encourages Austinites to get outside and fly a kite at their neighborhood park while observing COVID precautions, then share photos and videos on social media. Highlights include the Exchange Club Community Kite Contest; a virtual MossFest concert featuring Tiarra Girls, Terri Hendrix, Barton Hills Choir, Mr. Will, and others; and the H-E-B Pet Zone, an off-leash pet playground pop-up at Zilker Park. 2021 Bowl for Kids
