    BLiPSWiTCH: Insecta: A Short Stop at the Long Time

    The relentless explorers of BLiPSWiTCH have created a new dance piece inspired by photographer Frank Curry’s "Insecta" series. This afternoon, you can admire the photos and then witness the original kinetic wonderment as performed by dancers Celeste Camfield, Taryn Lavery, Katie Lowen, Alex Miller, Christina Mitchell, and Erica Saucedo — with a live score by Michael Brown and Erik Garven. Bonus: Austin band Grand Maximum will close out the day with a fun and danceable set. Liquid bonus: Moontower Cider, gratis.
    Sat., Nov. 19, 2pm-sundown. $15.

    Love Letters from a Flamenco Heart

    What A’lante Flamenco presents here is not only a love letter to flamenco, but also "an exploration of the different ways of loving." Always intensely personal and never the same experience twice, with Olivia Chacon, Sofia Hurtado, and Claire Spera dancing to music by Isai Chacon, Celia Corrales, Tony Hampton, and Jose Manuel Tejeda.
