  • The Amazing Acro-Cats: Keep It Weird in Austin!

    The Acro-Cats tour supports Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Rock Cats Rescue is focused on saving cats "One Click at a Time" through cat welfare, rescue, and adoption. The Acro-Cats show promotes the importance of bonding and training cats with positive reinforcement, while also finding homes for rescued cats.

    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas is bringing glitz and glamour to their annual fundraiser. The goal is to raise funds to put 80 kids into a caring match with an adult mentor, and you can participate from home by donating, forming or joining a fundraising team, and via online activities including a "Golden Age of Hollywood" costume contest.

    Austin Public Health reports that they've reached "a place of equilibrium between the supply and demand for vaccinations," and have expanded appointment scheduling opportunities for Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. Anyone age 18 and up is eligible, and preregistration is required before scheduling. Call 311 or APH if you have any problems with the online process.

This is the time to get the freshest oysters as fishermen come into the Rockport/Fulton Harbor around 4-5pm. The annual Fulton Oyster Festival has been canceled for this year, but there are still plenty of oysters available at local markets and restaurants.
