    Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner

    Dine out in private homes across town for Project Transitions' 21st annual dinner party fundraiser. This meal (and dessert and bubbly afterparty at the Thinkery starting at 9:30pm) helps the org do what they do so well: serve Austinites living with HIV/AIDS. Expect fine wine, good eats, and a sweet end to the evening.

    Austin's queer transmedia fest returns for another year of head-spinning, mind-racing, jaw-dropping work by notable and up-and-coming queer visionaries. This year's lineup includes work by Brontez Purnell, Yuliya Lanina, and Bethany Johnson. The 2018 Legacy Award goes to the 40th Anniversary of Born in Flames directed by Lizzie Borden.     PFLAG Austin Deidre Furr Essay Prize for LGBTQ Students

    Calling all Central Texas (queer/trans/gender diverse) high schoolers. PFLAG's essay contest returns! Write 500 to 1,000 words on: What challenges LGBTQ+ high school students face in romantic relationships. First place takes $500 cash (second = $200, third = $100).

    Volunteers Needed for the 25th Annual SOTX Winter Games

    This year's Special Olympics Texas is Feb. 2-4, and they need your help to make it great. Volunteers needed to assist with various duties at all competition events, the Athlete Village, and medics (physicians, nurses, and EMTs needed). Sign up online; email with questions.
