    Comedy

    Gareth Reynolds

He's an internationally touring comic whose clever quips perfectly offset Dave Anthony’s snark on their smash-hit podcast The Dollop. But maybe you know this Wisconsin native from his starring role in NBC's The Real Wedding Crashers? Or maybe from something else, even, right? Always so many possibilities in this complex life.
    Fri.-Sat., Sept. 7-8, 7:30 & 10pm. $16-23.

    Comedy

    Kath Barbadoro

She's been on Comedy Central's Roast Battle and was a correspondent on The CW's ATX Uncensored(ish). She makes fun of movies with Master Pancake Theater and co-hosts three podcasts, What A Time To Be Alive, Wrestlesplania, and Lie, Cheat, & Steal. But maybe you've only seen Barbadoro perform live at Fun Fun Fun and Moontower? Now, this very weekend, you can see her onstage at the Velv!
    Sept. 7-8. Fri., 9pm; Sat., 9 & 11pm. $10.

This is the workshop Hannah Kenah led for Rude Mechs while they were creating their Field Guide. Together, you'll write, you’ll share – and there'll be a mic and a stool. Sign up now for this one-day class that's low-pressure, high-fun, and makes the last Sunday in September worth waking up for.
    Workshop date: Sun., Sept. 30, 3pm. $20.

    The Comedy Batch

Host Robert Segovia brings you laughs, beer, and kolaches. (Actually, the Batch folks bring you the latter two, but you know what we mean.) With Chris Tellez and Nick Saverino rocking the comedy mic.
    Sat., Sept. 8, 8:30pm. Free.

    Top Comedy Spot on Airport

Yes, there's Sugar Water Purple on Wednesday nights. And this Thursday features Friends For Now, a daring supergroup of improv, and then the sketch shenanigans of Pendulum. Friday brings Movie Riot and the laugh-inducing ladies of Loverboy and that Live at ColdTowne stand-up showcase hosted by Carina Magyar. Then there's Saturday, with the Dave Buckman-directed Roast of St. Nick and the love-stinks larking of Missed Connections ATX, followed by a gathering of that mysterio-hilarious Midnight Society. And Sunday's got a Stool Pigeon spieling up the laughs for you, and – see website for more.
