Uncle Tom's Cabin and the American Stage

"The theatrical adaptation of Uncle Tom's Cabin reached three times as many people in America as Stowe's original novel, which was the second best-selling book in the nineteenth century after the Bible." And here the Ransom Center's Eric Colleary gives an expert talk about the production of that show, one of most important plays in American theatre history. 4pm. Free.
