Beatles Full Moon Concert in the Dark
On the April Full Moon, come set intentions and indulge in the mesmerizing allure of live acoustic music performed by world-class musicians, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight. Its a different kind of concert, that begins and ends in darkness, with music and a poem or two surrounding and soothing you. KLBJ Presents Arc Angels, Madam Radar
As Doyle Bramhall II heads to Japan with Eric Clapton ahead of their appearance at the Royal Albert Hall tribute to Jeff Beck, the Southpaw Stratocaster samurai sweeps through town to jam with supergroup Arc Angels. Co-axe murderer Charlie Sexton pauses Elvis Costello commitments, Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton does the same with Kenny Wayne Shepherd roadwork, and new bassist Eric Holden climbs aboard to revisit 1992’s Steve Van Zandt-produced Geffen Records sleeper Arc Angels. Every family has some quirky legacy they cling to and this year they go on the record in ScriptWorks' Out of Ink 2023: Family Traditions. This diverse ten-minute play collection showcases ScriptWorks members' unexpected interpretations of three mandatory script ingredients which provided inspiration during the Weekend Fling 48-hour writing event in the fall: an odd family tradition; a character who becomes something nonhuman over the course of the play; a vinyl record.
