Dave comes on like Father Time, his long white beard showing up a good five minutes before the rest of him does, and that's perfect for the kinds of circles he travels in. Volvos are his trade, and his repair lot is about overrun with them, which is saying something in this town. He knows his stuff, is honest with what he knows, and understands the fact that we know little to nothing about a piece of machinery that we use extensively every day.
