  • FRI, SEPT 29: Power publicist Terrie Williams, author of The Personal Touch: What You Really Need to Know to Succeed in TodayÕs Fast-Paced Business World, will be at the first ExecuPower speaker series luncheon at the Austin Convention Center. Registration is $55, and includes lunch and a booksigning. Call 472-7465 for info.
  • SAT, SEPT 30: Barbara Brockman, author of Happy Kids, will be on hand to sign copies of the book, 10am-noon. Later on, in addition signing copies of their new book Young WolfÕs First Hunt, authors Tom and Janice Shefelman have prepared a slide show about the making of the book, 2-4pmÉ Mark Busby, author of Larry McMurtry and the West: An Ambivalent Relationship, at BookStop Central Park, 2-4pm. Busby also authored New Growth 2, a collection of Texas short stories
  • TUE, OCT 3: T. Coraghessan Boyle will be at Barnes & Noble for a reading and booksigning of his latest novel, The Tortilla Curtain, 7-8pm.
  • THU, OCT 5: Noted poet/playwright/author Ntozake Shange will read from her works in Jessen Auditorium at UT. Shange is the author of the Obie-winning Broadway hit for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf, as well as RidinÕ the Moon in Texas and Liliane.
