The U.S. Women open the Brazil Olympics by playing New Zealand at 5pm, Wed., Aug. 3, two days before the opening ceremonies in Rio. The other group games are 3pm, Sat., Aug. 6, against France, and 5pm, Tue., Aug. 9, against Colombia – all shown live on NBCSN. Of the 18 players on the squad, 11 will be competing in their first Olympic Games, and four – led by 18-year-old Mallory Pugh – will be playing in their first senior international tournament.

The MLS All-Star Game is tonight, Thu., July 28, at 6:30pm on ESPN, with the MLS team taking on English power Arsenal... ESPN networks will also feature an International Champions Cup quintuple-header on Sat., July 30, featuring Celtic-Barcelona (noon), Real Madrid-Chelsea (2pm), Inter Milan-Bayern Munich (4pm), Liverpool-AC Milan (9pm), and Paris Saint-Germain-Leicester City (10:30pm)... The Seattle Sounders have fired Sigi Schmid, the only head coach in their MLS history.
