Yet more good news for former Austin Aztex players Monday: The Houston Dynamo named Sito Seoane to their preseason roster as they open training camp this week. Seoane, born in Miami, raised in Spain, had a breakout season with the PDL Champion Aztex in 2013, culminating with being named PDL Playoff MVP for scoring the winning goal in each of the Aztex's four games, including two goals and an assist in the Championship Final. He becomes the ninth Aztex player to move up to MLS in the team's two years of existence – really a phenomenal record, when you think about it. ... The Aztex just announced the first four players on their 2014 roster: two returnees who were all-conference last year – standout goalkeeper Devin Cook and ironman midfielder Tony Rocha – plus former Oklahoma City FC players Adam Black and Danny Frid.

Both the U.S. men's and women's national teams open their 2014 seasons this weekend: The women play rival Canada up in Frisco, Texas, on Friday, Jan. 31 (8pm, FOX Sports 1). The men have returned from their winter camp in Sao Pãulo, Brazil, to take on fellow WC qualifier South Korea on Saturday, Feb. 1 (4pm, ESPN2), in Los Angeles – where the sellout crowd is expected to include a large contingent of Korean fans.
