By Nick Barbaro, Fri., March 8, 2013
The Houston Dynamo dominated the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Mexico's Santos Laguna, but had to wait till the 89th minute for a Brad Davis goal to give them the 1-0 win. Galaxy and Seattle Sounders are in action Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with the return legs next Tuesday-Wednesday – all shown live on Fox Soccer.

Man U had dominated the game until a controversial red card turned the game around midway through the second half; Madrid coach Jose Mourinho admitted afterwards, "The best team lost." Also advancing to the quarterfinals this week were Dortmund, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain. The rest of the field will be filled out March 12-13; the TV games are Barcelona-Milan Tuesday, and Bayern Munich-Arsenal Wednesday (FSC, 2:45pm – that's an hour later than usual because this is the weird week when we've switched to daylight savings time, but Europe has not yet).
