The European Champions League group stage ended this week, with Manchester City and defending champ Chelsea both knocked out early, but Glasgow Celtic saved some British pride by becoming the first Scottish team to reach the knockout stages since 2007. Arsenal and Man U also advanced, along with all four Spanish teams, all three Germans, both Italians, and one each from France, Turkey, Ukraine, and Portugal. The draw for the Round of 16 will be held on Dec. 20; play begins in February.
